Description

The Maxwell wheel model consists of a flywheel mounted on an axle and supported at each end by a nylon cord. When dropped, the wheel converts gravitational potential energy into kinetic energy. The sudden jerk upon reaching the bottom reverses its linear momentum, causing the wheel to wind back up.
