Description

A parallel plate capacitor is a type of capacitor formed by two parallel, Flat metal plates separated by a dielectric material. These plates are connected to a voltage source, which causes them to accumulate opposite charges, storing energy in the electric field between the plates. The capacitance of a parallel plate capacitor depends on the area of the plates, the distance between them, and the dielectric constant of the , material between them.
