Description
A copper calorimeter is a device used in school science labs to measure heat transfer during physical or chemical changes. It typically consists of two copper vessels, an inner and an outer one, with insulation between them to minimize heat loss to the surroundings. A lid with holes for a thermometer and stirrer helps monitor and control the experiment.
