Description
A Newton's Second Law of Motion apparatus for a school lab typically consists of a spring-loaded launcher, two steel spheres (one solid, one with a hole), and a base with a rod for mounting. The apparatus demonstrates that the horizontal and vertical velocities of an object are independent. When the spring is released, it simultaneously launches one sphere horizontally and drops the other vertically, both hitting the ground at the same time.
